The Deli Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the deli department, ensuring quality, freshness, and exceptional customer service. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and a passion for food and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all deli operations including in-store production, merchandising, and staff scheduling.
• Maintain department standards for product quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
• Train, supervise, and develop deli team members to meet performance goals.
• Manage inventory, control costs, and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests and resolving concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of retail grocery deli experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of deli products, slicing equipment, and food preparation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
